CSB Shorthorns is a family owned herd of Registered Shorthorn cattle. We have been using bulls sired by some of the older shorthorn genetics from the 60's and 70's to help preserve the old style shorthorn. We are located near Turtle Lake, North Dakota. Our cattle are a selected old time heritage shorthorn from animals who's ancester's trace back 100% to the 1800's or the Clay Importation as know by many. These shorthorns are quite rare in the world and do have a different DNA pattern than modern shorthorns or other breeds of cattle today. Our Native Shorthorns are registered with the (American Shorthorn Association) ASA and can be registered with the AMSS (American Milking Shorthorn Society).
We usually have a large selection of weanling bull calves for sale in the fall and spring. If you are looking for heifers you will need to contact us mid summer to see what calves are available. We do have a limited number of heifers that we offer each year.
